Tales of loathsome tyrants and prophesied saviors aren't nearly so appealing when you are a royal bastard with a prophecy hanging over your head.

News:

The proof copy for A Fistful of Fire is in my lap as I type this. I've already found a typesetting-induced typo, though, so I'll be modifying that, and after seeing this, I want to make a wraparound cover. I'm not sure I like what avoiding widows & orphans has done to some of the line spacing, either.

I have my bright pink pen ready to mark up the book when I have a few hours to devote to it. Any typos I find while doing that (because there's always another typo) will likewise be fixed in the e-book version.

I think CreateSpace will require me to go through another proof copy round before I can approve a new version. Still, this 5.25x8" copy is a comfortable size. The binding is nice, too.

So. I'm a step closer to having A Fistful of Fire ready for print release.

Also, The Great INDIE Summer Giveaway starts tomorrow (6/15/11)! Dozens of indie authors are participating, and I'll even be doing a guest post. I've seen a list of the books to be offered, and if I weren't one of the giveaway authors, I'd try to win some of those titles, myself!

Check it out for a chance to win some of the many titles being offered—including an e-book copy each of A Fistful of Fire and of Destiny's Kiss, my urban fantasy novel to be released the first week of July!

This web novel is listed in Web Fiction Guide and Muse's Success. (Both are directories of online novels, stories, etc.)
